Another visit to see these Herons, and had some good light at times., as the clouds where very heavy, and then nice bright sunlight!

Beautiful series! And excellent work. You continue to set the bar high for other wildlife photographers, Raymond. :thumbup:

I think #1 is my fave, just because it's always special to see the young ones up close like this.

And you must have a friendly approach.....since the herons aren't glaring at you like the ospreys glare at Airic..... :lol:

thanks Gal and Terri.. The ospreys glare at Airic because he has a shotgun ready incase they get too close!

I hope to get out for a shoot with those ospreys soon.

Those short ones are herons, too?
All the other herons on here have always looked different to me ... :scratch: --- and they walked differently, on stilt-legs, as it were, other than this short fellow here.
