Maybe you were dealing with a zombie instead of a customer service rep? They only have cleaning kits for firearms, so it's possible that the zombies infiltrated.

i saw they had night vision goggles there a few weeks ago when i was looking around. that would be pretty cool to have. I can just imagine walking around in the woods at night when is pitch black and being able to see, that sounds like allot of fun.

I can totally see how things like binoculars and night vision might be something many people would like to have including photographers. even if it was some totally odd ball stuff they sold well as long as people are buying that stuff why not have a few extra things to sell on the side besides camera gear. the goal of a store is all about making money.
