Why use an old camera? Nikon D700

Jeesh, old is all I've got! Thankfully, I don't fear dying in my sleep not owning new stuff.

Why use an old camera?

Why not?

Jeesh, old is all I've got! Thankfully, I don't fear dying in my sleep not owning new stuff.

That too. If someone was paying me $$$ an hour, or for my name, or for the studio, yes, they would deserve the latest and best technology. Does anyone here fit any of those. We are just doing the best we can, with what we have available. Discretionary income plays a part in that decision.

If an old camera makes suitable new images, that's good enough for me. I drive a nice ten year old car as well.

Several years ago I had a Nikon D750. It was a big upgrade from my APS-C d7000 but, I had the hots for a D850 and ended up trading it in one. I still have the D850 and a D500 that I use for wildlife but, I've always had some sellers remorse for the D750. About a month ago I picked up a minty D750 and it is now my favorite just because it feels so good in my hands. The D750 is really all I ever needed.
