This was executed for an assignment where we had to pick a random song (put a playlist on shuffle etc.) and interpret a piece of lyrics with a photo.
This photo is a pretty direct interpretation of that song, and I have to say, I'm pretty damn pleased with how it turned out. The flames were photoshopped in along with the overall look, everything else was photographed in a single image.

I do love the post on this. Sure, it's super over done, but in a purposeful kind of way. I mean that as a compliment

AgentDrex (I believe it was him) played around with an effect (the actual term escapes me at the moment) to make photos look more like paintings. Reminds me of this.

This looks like it could be the cover of a suspense/thriller novel.

Thanks! Yes, I think it's obvious to all (I hope), that the over-done look was deliberate.
I'm not good enough yet with PS to make this happen with a totally realistic look. And perhaps I don't even want to.

Flames could use a little more work but pretty good overall.

I like the overall photo. I'm not sure about the processing on her legs though. They don't really look dirty or sooty from fire as much as they look incredibly processed. It just looks unnatural.

Have to agree with this, especially in regard to her left leg. The soot or dirt or whatever is too solid. I'm really not great with digital manipulation, so I'm not certain how you did it, but I would try using a different brush, or less of the one you (may have) used.
