Will I regret switching from D300s to D7000?

One small difference between the two is that the D7000 will do auto exposure bracketing in 2EV steps (and smaller) where as the D300 only allows 1EV steps (and smaller). This is significant if you like to do HDR, which is generally (but not exclusively) done with 2EV steps.

The D7000 can do 2EV steps because it can only do 3 AEB's, while the D300 can do 9 AEB's, so the D300 has a much broader AEB adjustment range for doing HDR's.

AEB is not required for making the exposures needed to make an HDR of a scene. Manually bracketing the exposuresneeded to make an HDR is often the preferred method.

Ya someone offered me a trade for my D7000. He has a D300s with 9000 actuations...mine has about 4000. Both in perfect condition. Really unsure.
