It's simple, really. They have this force field that literally SUCKS all the energy out of their parents and other adults around them. This is why kids seem to have more and more energy the more worn-out the parents become.

I was sitting here this morning looking at the calendar and realized that there is cause for celebration. (Well besides, the holidays we have the next two weeks) What else is there to celebrate, you ask? Well the 21st is winter solstice and is the shortest day of the year. And that is cause to celebrate, days getting longer means more time to get out and take photos. Yeah!!!!!!!

This and more time to fish too

Summer just means the morning Golden Hour starts at friggin 5:00 AM, and the evening GH doesn't show until well after 7:00....... :er:

Also, because the sun is lower in the sky all day, in general the light isn't as harsh.

Each offers their own goodness. This snowy, fog haze is quite delicious to shoot in, but I do love my golden summer sun.

I'm liking it this winter. I've had the chance to take a lot of photos this year while I was out and about with work. Currently sunrise is about 8:30am here and sunset about 3:30pm. Having been up north recently there is almost no harsh overhead sun so it's lovely golden light for most of the day. I generally prefer the summer and the longer days though night fishing has it's appeal
