I wouldn't either...I'm not likely to buy a file to print in the first place, the file size is very small if I wanted it to be wall art (but honestly, I don't find the photos very intriguing).

I'm also not a pro.

Yeah, well from what I've seen on etsy, minimalistic photos seem to be the go-to. Wish I had my own studio....ohhhh.

I'm not familiar enough with Etsy to know what may or may not sell there, but I can't see these selling anywhere. All of them have exposure issues, and IMO, lack impact.

most people buy photos because they have some sort of connection to them, whether it be a specific location, landmark, or whatever.
these pictures are just random, and as tirediron noted, lack impact and professional finish.

Thanks guys for the honest brutal truth lol. I think I need to take a step back. I do agree that they are random and have no great impact, maybe I need to spend extra time with the cam... and learn some better compositions as well. I feel like in editing I'm always one-note.

Aside from having a personal connection, as pixmedic mentioned, another reason people buy photos is finding something that they recognize as something that is very well done, and that they know they would not be able to make such a photograph themselves. Frankly, those photographs are as scarce as hen's teeth. Sometimes a photographer just happens to be in the right place at the right time, with the right equipment, and presto! Instant masterpiece!

Just because we would not buy the "digital files" does not mean that you should in anyway abandon your art... I looked on your flickr and you do seem to have an eye for composition and perspective. Where you are lacking is in technical ability (exposure, focus, post work). The good news is, those areas are easily taught as opposed to "the eye" as some say for photography. Keep at it. If this is your beginning stuff it is miles ahead of where I started.

Such kind words. Thanks hahaa, I've been at it for a little over a year now but I haven't been practicing often enough to develop my skills. It definitely shows but I just don't want to jump the gun. If I sell sub-par photos then that would be reflective of the kind of work I put out and I don't want that to define my skills. I can do more; much better. So, based on these comments, I realized I'm not ready yet. Probably have a couple years of work to do before I am ready. I'll definitely start reading and shooting more!
