I just bought a second 7D.

If I were to buy a third camera it would probably be a 5DII, but I didn't hesitate to buy another 7D when I was planning to buy a second body.

Knowing what I do now I would probably have gone for a 40D instead of getting my 400D at the time. However hindsight is pointless in this respect because back then I didn't have the photography bug - I just wanted a good camera that would work well and maybe then get a nice lens or two.

I considered going more advanced but I never really though I would get anywhere near as hooked on it as I am now.

So in my view whilst I would have changed what I bought based on specs and what I know now - back then I did make the right choice in the 400D

Oh yea I haven't heard anything "Good" about that body. But its a Nikon how bad could it be? What problems are you having with it?

It's kind of a toy.

I had a Nikon D50 when those came out and I was very happy I had an entry level Nikon before they got to be like the D60 and D3000.

no real problems at all with it. i've just exceeded the capabilities of the camera with the images I want. The main 3 things are its poor low light performance, 200 flash sync speed, and low fps. other then that, not a bad little camera

oh, and no focus moter since most of my lenses are af

I have 4 of the Nikon D300 and 2 of the Nikon D3.

1/200s is plenty
Nail it the first time, anticipate and wait, don't spray and pray.

Well now, that is a *****. Unless I'm doing macro work, very slow and methodical, I can't trust my eyes anymore.
