"...he sure ran when I got near him"... well, weren't you quite near him? I've never managed to get such a close-up of any wild animal in my life, so far, and I do have a 300mm lense! I am amazed at many of your (also others') wildlife photos, mostly about how near they let you come up to them! And his colour is amazing. All black - I only know them reddish-brown.
