Yashica FR question

Hey everyone,

I'm new to film photography and I just got a Canon FT QL and a Yashica FR camera. The Yashica came with a Tokina 28mm 1:2.8 RMC lens. My question is, what kind of mount is used for the Yashica FR? I like the lens but I want to be able to use it for my Canon FT QL too and my Sony Nex. I tried searching the forums and have google searched but can't find any information. It would be great if someone helped me :sillysmi: Thanks for your time.

Contax/Yashica C/Y mount.

I knew many photographers that would by cheap Yashica cameras to mount their expensive Contax Zeiss lenses.

Not sure if there is a C/Y to FD adapter available.

There are C/Y lens to NEX camera adapters.

You will find there is very little interchangeability between the various camera makers and their lens mounts. The Pentax 42mm screw mount and the Pentax K mount are probably the most popular ones out there and the supply of lenses is amazing. When you get to some of the others you will find very few used ones available.
