Yongnuo wireless contoller/receiver help!!!

Hi everyone. I am trying to wireless change the Manual settings I put in my camera controller (YN622N) to the receiver off flash device (YN568EX). Issue is I have the controller and I do change my flash manual settings there but I don't see those changes reflected in the screen of my flash. I made sure they are both in the same channel, but not really know what is the combination I need to have between controller/receiver/speedlight to wireless control everything.

Any idea which combination I should be using in the three devices for ot to work? Manual was not very detailed

I dont have the same gear but my guess is its two devices, one the controller should be in Tx mode and the receiver ie the flash head shiuld be in Rx.

Or perhaps both in Rx. Do you need to sync that flash first first?

You'll have to be more specific
But here's an example of someone else having issues but with a 622tx

Thanks astro. I was able to find the issue. The problem was that I had the speedlight in Manual instead of TTL. I never got the speedlight to show the sync symbol for some reason, but it is working regardless, so I can't complain.
