I spent New Year's in Yosemite.
What I'm sure is one of the most photographed places in earth. Here are a few of my favorites from the trip.

1. Half Dome from Mirror Lake

Nice images, #1 is my favourite. I am curious about the black and white as you don't say anything about it. The last one is also interesting, but I think I would have tried to get lower and shoot it against the sky as the partially OOF, partially sunlit background is a bit distracting to me.

I can't quite remember where the B&W was taken. I think near our campground.

Check out 1b. I didn't mean to post the first image, so I posted a "1b" which is the one I meant to post.

Glad you posted #1 as I think I still like it best, of the two, as the stars are better defined than in #1b. It is all a matter of taste and what you or I like can be different, doesn't mean one is better, or worse, relatively speaking, simply that our tastes are different.

Lovely stuff--thanks for sharing. My favorite is actually #5.

I like 'em all, but #3 has a coyote, so it's the winner.

Great catch on that last one. I do have to say that the blue snow bothers me a bit, though.
