There's one place in The Voyage of the Beagle where Darwin does something quite unexpected. He came across a lizard in which species he thought the males had such ugly faces, he could not see how any female lizard could find them attractive. I had to read it twice before I could believe what he was writing! Perhaps if you could enhance those male lizards' Facebook photos the species would have a better chance of surviving.
