Hooked up an external to my laptop today and look at the difference!!! I suspect you guys are seeing what my external is showing. AND the picture of my laptop is AFTER I had toned the blue tones down a few days ago! and it looks way worse in person! Trust me!

Looks like the laptop has a strong magenta bias. Now you know why so many photographers refer to their "CRAPTOP" when in reference to editing photos on it!!!

I've found that laptops tend to mute colors and brighten images.

All monitors need calibrating.

If you think that's a huge difference wait till you calibrate the external monitor.

It's great to see a difference, but which accurate? You could say that one looks 'better' than the other, but if it's not accurate, you are just running around in circles.

As mentioned above, you need to calibrate your monitor to really know what your images look like. You can't just adjust it, to do it properly, you need a calibration device.
