This girl couldn't have been more than 6 or 7 at most.
Her job was to prepare the thatch for the thatched roofs on her house and she used the road the scrub and settle the bundles and to lay the thatch out to dry.
The road was particularly thick and strong having been made by the Chinese because there was a Chinese factory nearby and the trucks went from the factory up into China.
