First time out with camera (canon rebel xti)

ya jus snapshots...point and shooot...try to be a little mroe creative...different angles...lighting..and wat not

I think first learn a little more about your camera. Learn about Exposure with reference to ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture.

If you want to pick up a book and read, "Understanding Exposure" is a good start.

Once you feel comfortable with the exposure settings, you can learn more about composition. There are a lot of online references. And the following link is a good start.
