I really like the second image. It could have been the cover art on a 60's album!

You might want to check on your first post. You will see that it was moved to the appropriate forum.

Your processing seems a bit harsh.
Take a look at your photos and tell me if the sky actually looked like that.

For example, were there really halos around all the trees in #1 that turned the blue sky white?
Were the clouds really that orange in #2?

My honest reaction to your photo was: "Oh good god, NO!"

This is not meant to be offensive. This is meant to show you an honest reaction.

Back way up, and tone it way down.

In fact, I highly recommend new folks avoid HDR like the plague. It's too tempting to go too crazy.

Thanks for the feedback. I did get a little carried away with the editing and expected that the experienced TPF members would point me in the right direction. Believe it or not, the orange photo is pretty accurate to what I saw but the blue one was just me going crazy. They look more like fantasy pics. (but I do like the 'drama' and color)
I'm going to revisit these two photos and share the results. Thanks again!
