Hey Everyone,
I just had a great weekend experimenting with my 105mm macro lens and a highspeed camera using water, lighter fuel and soap.
Lighting up those bubble led to great small Fire Balls and quite cool macro shots. Have you ever tried those of similar shots?
What do you think of it?

While having nothing to do at night I decided to take out the camera and do some random shows, here is one taken With my D600 on a 28-106mm lens. Please let me know how it could improve I wish I could have gotten the smoke more in focus tho.
Hello, I have questions, I am making some texture for one of the games that I play. I want to make my own ultra graphic texture pack but, for now, I am using macro objective and my question is what is best macro 40mm Nikkor or normal 18-55mm objective. How to take good macro with nice looking...
Hi everyone!
I just became a father for the 2nd time today and I was thinking in investing on a macro lens to get those sweet details of the baby. But I've found out that I could just get a extension tube for the same purpose.
Have anyone out there used one or have any info about these...

Just a quick hello and thank you for the great forum and amazing pictures. As I head on into my late fifties I find that many of my Fathers interests have become my own. I always had a passing interest in his 35 mm & assorted equipment through the 60's to the 90's. I can only imagine how...

It's been many, many years since I've last taken a picture of a Dragonfly. A friend of mine (who is a photographer) said once you find one and it if it flies away, just wait. They always come back to the same spot. That's exactly what I did in this case and sure enough, it came back to same...
Took a short walk last light during golden hour, it was so quiet too. You can hear all the critter rustling in the bushes and birds chirpings. No planes...no cars, it was just peaceful.

I've been in a bit of a funk lately. I haven't really used my camera in a while, heck I even went places to take photos and didn't even take my camera out of the bag or removed the lens cap. I don't know, I just didn't see anything that really sparked my interest. It kind of made me feel...
A simple shot today to share.
I took a quick evening walk and noticed this one and only lonely buttercup just sitting there in the light asking me to take a picture of it, so I did.

I've always wanted to get a shot of Fiddleheads and I have millions of them around my house but I was always too late. So this spring I went out everyday looking for them and finally managed to get a few shot of one Fiddlehead that I really liked that was nearly perfect.
So here's a few frames...
I debated where I should share this photo but I ultimately decided to place it in the b&w gallery because when I took this shot I deliberately wanted it to be in black & white.
I was walking about and noticed this tiny big chilling out on top of one of these leafs from a blooming tree and for...
I searched for a while trying to find the perfect one. There are thousands of these wild violet flowers all over my lawn. I managed to find this one that was almost all alone and had a clean background.
It's kind of simple and clean shot which is what I was going for.
