1 abstract portrait and 1 random for C&C

Went walking around Charlotte today. 2 here for c&c. I'm not sure i like the second one as much as i like the idea of what it could have been if i didn't shoot it from the reflection in my side view mirror. FWIW it's contrasty on purpose.

Well, I quite like Photo 1 as it makes me wonder how you created it, if it is THIS ONE PHOTO only, taken by getting this mirror self of yours through a mosaic of mirror glass somewhere or whether it is all a question of severe pp work (I tend to believe it is the first).

The second is a scene you witnessed in your rear mirror? And you would never have dared to turn around and point your camera at this scene? Any idea what it is all about? As is, I feel it tells too little a story to be of any really great interest.

Well, a few things, 1, i was on a way way each way road with on coming traffic and not enough room to make a U-turn. If I'm being totally honest here, even if i had the opportunity i still feel awkward shooting random people on the street. I can't seem to get over the feeling of being shy with my camera in public. I have no problem shooting object in public but when it comes to random people i usually won't take the shot unless i know for sure they won't see me =/ i guess it's something i need to work on.

I'm lost as to why the second one is a mirror image as well. Was it shot in one of your car's mirrors?

I didnt even notice the lettering. Had to be a mirror.

Sorry, i ment ONE LANE each way road with oncoming traffic that didn't allow me to make a u-turn, and yes i stated above that it was shot in my side view mirror because the scene was behind me and i was in the driver seat at a red light. Perhaps i should have scrapped the shot?

You can always flip an image in post............

Not solely for that reason! Personally, I think the fact that the image is reversed tells more of a story.

This is a crop, should i include some of the surounding area around the mirror to make it obvious it was shot from the side view?

You can always flip an image in post............

So you think the op intentionally flipped it to make people think he didnt want the cops to see him...really?

No.... I (as were others) were wondering why the lettering was reversed. It could have easily been taken without a mirror, then flipped in post to make it appear that way.
