I like the 1 series button layout.. makes sense to me... again personal preference.

I'm so excited about the 1ds -MarkIII. Not because I want one but because I just might be able to get a used 1ds MII in my budget. ( I'm dreamin.. kinda).

Jeff, my point was not personal, but simply to show it really is a matter of six of one, half a dozen of the other. Also to point out that the M.P. race is about to come to a point where it is impossible to exceed a certain level. That limiting factor is not the ability to pack more pixels into the space of the sensor, but the physics of lens manufacturing. Lenses are not keeping up with the pixel race, and I don't think they can. We are going to see more and more feature improvements and noise reduction than M.P. increases. The C vs. N debate will go on forever, and probably with more players as time goes on. But with 20 or 30 or more megapixels in the offing I think I would prefer a medium format back to a DSLR in 35 format.

I agree and disagree about the need for more MP, with sharpness I agree because digital cameras are already push next film format size up for equal sharpness, but color dramatics or acutely is issue that more MP could help (IMO more often with darker colors)
