Nice shot of the fox, too bad it is under exposed. Try cropping to get rid of the excesses in the frame.

Thanks for all your comments and encouragement.

Here is the original frame. Any recommendations for cropping?
(BTW- 'funny' side note, the big blob to the left & behind the fox is a turkey, it's head is hidden behind a small tree)

The only way to get less depth of field from one single working point you have to widen your aperture (ie use a smaller f number). Shooting in RAW won't let you adjust the depth of field and whilst you can apply blurring and sharpening selectivly in editing unless you spend a very long time over it and know what you're doing its going to look very fake.

This may get me 'kicked' from posting on this site, LOL....but gave it a try. Blurred background to give a depth of field:

Thanks! I like it, the fox didn't fade out. I think I am going to try shooting in RAW for a bit, just to allow edits like yours.

How does the hawk photo look? fake?
