Composition wise I think they'd be better if you hadn't cut the subjects off.

The first one has hot spots on the dorsal fin as well as the joining of the body and pectoral fin.

The second one the colors just seem drab and lifeless to me. Maybe a bump in lighting and saturation.

Perhaps brightening up the second photo in an image editor would make it stronger. Overall I like the photos, though.

On the 1st photo the fish looks huge! The second one is very nice, but it's too dark and the colors aren't that live. Increase the brightness and saturation

I quite like the first one, although I'm slightly perplexed by it, it's a really odd angle for wildlife. I like the background, though; the sky's difference in colour shows off the swordfish's mirror-like scales. I agree, however, that the second is a little lifeless. Possibly increase contrast & saturation.

yeah,it's around 8-9ft.
