What would you do if you won?

I just bought my ticket, and it's the winning ticket, so ya'll just save your money.

I will be changing my name to "Joe Smith" and moving to Tahiti where I will sit in the shade and have young, scantily clad girls fan me and make me blenders full of rum punch, while rubbing my sore feet and telling me how skinny I look today...

I will no longer have an address! I'll be traveling around the world!!

^^ looking for man slaves.

I'd build my lifelong dream - The modern lavatorium, complete with full-wall-length, marble-inlayed urinals, and a central pillar surrounded by twelve heated seat toilets.

It'll be awesome.

First, I'd graciously thank whoever gave me the ticket and split the winnings with them--because, since I don't PLAY the lottery, my chances of winning are ever so slightly less than anyone else's.

250 million--honestly, I just don't think I could be trusted with that kind of money. Pretty sure it would corrupt me. :D
But just for fun:
Split it with the person who actually bought the ticket, 50/50.
That leaves me 125 million. Taxes. No idea what the taxes are on 125 million in lottery earnings.

Whatever was left, here's what I'd do:
--A tenth to charitable causes of my choosing
--Fix up my house and buy new furniture. Never owned a piece of actually NEW furniture in my life. And I'm 51 years old. Most of my furniture was either cast offs from someone else, or bought used for less than $100.
--Set up funds so my kids would have the rest of their college tuition paid for, including grad school (for the one who is planning on doing that).
--Set up some kind of "sponsorship" fund for my Artist son to help him get started actually selling his art and publicizing himself.
--Make sure all my mom's bills are taken care of. Her house is paid for, so just the other stuff.
--Buy a new car. Scratch that. Buy a newER car. Even with that kind of money, I don't think I'd WANT a brand-new car--again, I've never owned one. Never had a car that was less than 6 years old. So, I think I'd spring for a 2 or 3 year old mid-size car. Maybe even go wild and get a convertible.
--All new camera equipment. For me AND my sister. D800s, probably. 70-200 f/2.8 lens, 500mm lens, the works.
--Take another cruise to the Caribbean, and take a trip to Ireland.

Take whatever's left and split it three ways. 1/3 kept for my living expenses and retirement, 1/3 in an account for each son to be used at MY discretion until they are at least 30 and/or married with kids, then it goes completely over to them.

I'd probably keep working, but go part-time. Work 3 days a week, off 4. I could live with that.

EDIT: After reading some of the other posts, I am struck once again with just how "boring" I really am!! :lmao:

Pay off all debt for my family, get a few toys and then start helping people that are suffering, homeless, and sick.

First I would pay off all my parents, sister and fiance debts. Would buy my parents a house of choice. Sister I would pay for a trip and help her fix up the current house she is in. I would also buy a nice house, nothing crazy and would fix/change stuff inside/outside. All my friends would go on a cruise or something.

and I would have a form of the butler "geoffrey" from fresh prince...

I would definitely get it all in one's and just sit at the strip club the rest of my life.

Realistically, take the money and travel the world with my family. Helping as many along the way as possible. And of course pick a mentor off the forum to show me how to use all my new nikon gear while they use theirs that I would buy them.

Upgrade ALL of my photography equipment (like it would help me). Then I would take a bunch of classes and spend my days practicing at whatever destination I felt like. [Snapping out of it]

Or I'd just take the part that my wife would let me spend and stay home. :greenpbl:
