3 axis bubble level

Okay, so I'm looking to purchase a hot shoe bubble level. I have found a very cheap one that covers 2 axis and I have found one with 3 axis. This is boggling my mind as to what this 3rd axis is for. Thats what I really want to know. Maybe I'm just having a huge brain-fart but I can't grasp what this is could be for.

The 3rd one is for when you are in portrait orientation.

How exactly would I know this prior to asking the question, Garbz? Is this what you classify as common sense or are you just a troll all the time?

The third axis is the Z value.

X = width, Y = depth, Z = height

This is a good time to think INSIDE the box.



BTW, between using the grid lines in your viewfinder and tweaking in post, the bubble levels for cameras/tripods are like tits on a boar hog for me.
