I really like the second one, its a good moment. I think if you would have dipped down a bit and put his face in more of that white sky, he would have stood out more, cause he is battling with that blacker background.

The first one is a bit shaky, I assume your shutter speed was a bit low but not by much. Try to match your shutter speed with your lens length, so if it was a 50mm lens then the lowest you can get away with hand holding it is 1/50th of a second. This will get rid of shaky photos.
