A few bridals...

from a recent wedding... Let it rip!

This next one has a major cut off limb, but if cropped into an 8x10 it's not bad.

It feels more like just a portrait. Too tight. Usually you want to showcase the dress and the bride. This is mostly showcasing here face

I'll be brutually honest Mleek... Seems like an off day. The biggest issue is that the bride looks like she'd rather be anywhere than in front of your lens. #2 has a nice smile, but she's looking somewhere else, and that pole growing out of her head... ouch!

#4, well, between the pose and the expression, the first thing I think of is, "Poor girl, she got left at the alter".

Very right. These are just the bridal portraits and a few out of many that are equally as bad or worse! I think this whole wedding was an epic fail. Not that the images are BAD, just that I didn't capture what I should have for a wedding.
The dress was... not her choosing and not exactly something she was wanting to showcase, per se, so I concentrated elsewhere.
I had a really hard time with her because she loved to tilt her chin down to her chest and she has a prominent nose-to say it nicely. She also is REALLY self conscious of her teeth-can't see it here but there are gaps between them. I didn't think they were horrid in any way-she did. Smiles are hard to come by. She also has heavy circles under the eye for a young girl.
The groom portraits went better, but the ones of them together? Well, they're beautiful, but they feel flat. No emotion between them. They were like a blank stare at me no matter what. In order to capture the animation I had to shoot when they were unaware. Which is where #2 happened. I am going to see if I can clone out the beam. I am worried around the top of her head. Hoped it would be not noticeable enough as it's out of focus. Guess I flopped that one too! LOL!

I think these were with a 50mm f/1.8.

#4: Geez.. The poor woman looks like she'd rather be anywhere else than posing for her wedding portraits.

What a challenge. I think you probably did well to get what you got.
