Got some practice time in at the aquarium today, pretty happy with the results overall. I've found shutter priority works pretty well given the shooting conditions:

And for the kitty fans:

Still have a lot to post process, had a senior (as in high school senior) photo shoot this afternoon and got home fairly late and didn't really get a lot of time to run through it all.

Which lens did you use to shoot the aquarium pics? The exposure looks great for shooting through a fish tank. It would of been cooler if you were talking about senior citizens btw, that's gotta be a lucrative business.

The aquarium pics were shot with my trusty 50 mm 1.8 G - I've found it's pretty much the ideal length for these pictures. As to the senior photos, well I sort of got roped into it. I've got one more session I have to do and then I can be done. Trying my hardest not to go into business as a photographer.. lol.

I feel your pain, I'm a journeyman electrician and I always get roped into doing jobs I have no interest in doing.

You know I think the next time somebody asks me for advice on how to become a professional photographer I'll tell them, step one, move to Omaha. Lol. It's just bizarre how many people I've had asking me to shoot this for them or shoot that for them and I keep trying to explain to them that I don't do this for a living, I don't want to do this for a living... just boggles the mind. I love photography, as a hobby. I don't really want to turn it into a part time job.
