It looked like it was going to rain all day but it never did. And the sun actually came out just after got home lol

This little guy probably deserves his own thread. I believe it is an Eastern Kingbird

Thanks for looking and happy holiday :salute:

Wow! My fav is by far the second one with that one feet touching the posts, just wonderful. Great shots Bill. Everyone out here are capturing magnificent Swallows shots and jaw dropping osprey BIFs and I'm sitting here messing up Drongo shots! :(

Thanks everyone

It was the first time in a few weeks where I was able to get out and not have to watch the clock or worry about being called for work. And I plan to do some more tomorrow :)

Nice set Bill! I think it's time you work out a little and start lugging that F2.8 around :)

Ahaha Bill, you got an awesome swallow shots despite your modesty in my thread! Beautiful, and I love the kingbird...I got a terrible kingbird shot yesterday, nowhere near these.

Well considering I took over 400 shots and that was the only one i liked I wouldn't actually call it a success LOL

But as soon as I can get a chance with some sun I will give it another try. I have a good idea what i need to do to get the shot I want. I need to get even with the entrance to their house and back button focus on the house and then, without focusing again, shoot them as they approach the house. A minimum shutter of 1/4000 with f/8 for some dof and pray, lots of praying :lmao:

And Kris is correct, I need to take the Sigma 2.8 next time

Yeah, they sort of go "flaps down" when they get close to the nest box and you get half a chance at a decent shot. I'm not going to bother going again without some sunshine.

I know which one Jan and my daughter will go for, that's cute !!. That eastern Kingbird is a little beauty, stunning little bird that one Bill and nice Osprey shots. Nice Swallow shot in there Bill. Man I can't get over the the number of shots you folks take :) I must need a bigger SD card.

All the best Bill and nice work in there.

Danny.
