3. This one is probably my favorite although I don't think I got enough light on her face.

Not too bad really but your exposures are all way off. A bit of time in photoshop can help a bit but it's better to get it right in the camera.

Remember, the photograph is not just the subject; the background is often the critical difference between an okay image and an outstanding one! Look for even, homogenous backgrounds and avoid distracting elements. The grout lines in #2 provide a multitude of paths by which to distract the eye and also serve to tell you instantly if the image is not level.

#1 I don't really like the pose, it reminds me of a mugshot
#2 under exposed and also have her stand away from the wall a little, the bricks are too much in focus
#3 the best of the bunch, just fix the exposure
#4 I like it but maybe a tad too much tree?

Thanks for the replies and comments guess I should have taken a little more time to make sure my exposers were better and the brick wall was straight.

Agreed!
What equipment and what mode where you shooting with?

One thing I would like to add to this is the pose in #1.
When the subject has a larger nose you need to try to keep the nose completely on the face as you did in all of the other shots. This helps to hide the size better.

No offense to the young lady. She is a beautiful young lady!

Thanks for sharing!!
