Bump? C&C please this is my first time using my studio and strobe, first indoor work period.

NOT BAD! Better than many maternity photos we see these days. Simple, straight-forward. Low-key lighting. Pretty decent really.

black outfit bad choice with black background.. see how it just blends in? See how she appears to be floating?

Light was too high in #1... terrible shadows on her face and even under her stomach.

#2 Shoulders square to the camera, this just looks odd. Lighting is off.. face is bright, down low is way too dark, her left side needs fill badly.

Yea the black outfit was my choice i was wanting it to blend to the background the way it did, but at the same time i understand what your saying.

The lighting yea it's off but im working with what i have im guessing i should be using a reflector to get rid of those shadows with the one strobe i have or maybe some fill lighting.

The lighting on 1 isn't proper but i like the feel of it a lot, i feel that it puts a lot of attention to the ribbon do you not see it this way. Not to argue your response i understand what you're saying.

Did you read anything of what i wrote, i said i'm not arguing your feedback and was nice about it so i don't get why your getting so bent out of shape. I agreed with what you said but expressed my feelings about the critique which is perfectly ok, it's not liking i'm claiming to know everything or saying you are wrong. Just explaining why i went with the lighting that way.

Just to make my response more clear,
What i was trying to say is why i chose the light, and seeing if it made sense for why i did it that way. I was wanting to know if you saw it that way after my explanation, not to criticize your response. If it did not convey what i was trying to achieve then what could i work on to get it that way. As i said prior this is my absolute first time working with strobes so simply saying the shadows are there, the lights too strong, and all of the above don't help me very much but things i could do to fix my flaws, which im completely aware and have no since of arrogance about my work AT ALL, can. Just trying to get more information of why its wrong and what i could do to fix it, not to argue your feedback. No hard feelings though i understand that its easy to take something the wrong way with emotionless text, definately not trying to be one of these know it alls who ask for C&C then tell the experienced people here that they are wrong.
