Nice thought, but the TV set does not show up in the photo...and neither does the nose-pickin'!!!

To get photos of a kid watching TV, I have found the following useful: ISO value of around 400 to 640. Camera shutter speed of 1/8 second (to prevent scan-bands on the TV image). f/stop of around f/5.6 to f/8, depending on TV screen brightness. And finally, BOUNCED FLASH, to make a decent exposure of the room.

Trust me...been shooting this combo for a long,long time...it's a balancing act between ISO, shutter speed, and f/stop and electronic flash output level.

I like it, I agree with the artistic comment, maybe better if the whites were in between 1 and 2.
