I'm certainly considering that. I'm using a 50mm F1.8 (version 1) with it now.

I think I will definitely get a 17-40 F4 L, possibly trading my 10-22mm to fund that. I might then upgrade my 50mm to the F1.4 and I've already got a 70-200mm. I'd be pretty well covered. I would like to have either the 24mm L or 35mm L...but they are pricey.

im about to unload my 70-200 f/2.8 L IS to fund an 85. I love the 70-200 but I'm getting sick of the size. Last wedding I didnt even use it and use my 90mm tamron macro lens instead from far.

For some reason, I thought you already have the 50mm f/1.4.

85mm is too short. Maybe you should go for the 135mm L. I know several photogs who love it.

I use my 70-200mm a lot during a wedding. I think I may even use it more often now, as it won't be 'too long' as much on the 5DII. I'll probably find that it's too short at times, as I'm so used to having it on my 20D.

Not worried ;) Just walk closer or digital crop.. hahah. I think for wedding work 85 is plenty. Sure ill miss my 200 when I go to the zoo. Maybe ill get f/4 version in the future but right now im going for small size.

The 135L creates some amazing images and I know Andras Schramm thinks its the best in his arsenal atm Mike. Someone was selling one in the facebooks photographers garage sale group.
