Hello all.
Two more for C&C. It was a very cloudy morning in Lake Placid, New York. Let me know what you think :)

C&C per req:

1. Not overly fond of this one. The sky is too dark and too 'heavy' for my tastes.

2. I like this one; I would crop away about two thirds of the sky, as again, it's rather overpowering, and perhaps adjust your white point to the snow and then I think you'll have a much stronger image.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

Thanks alot for the feedback, John! I should try to tone down the skies. I actually tried to make the heavy because otherwise it was just very bland and grey. But I definitely see what you're saying.
Thank you :)

Both good IMO. Great sky and subject is perfect for B&W. I like the tones and detail of the trees and hills in #2 very much. "Portrait" is often better for landscape I feel.
