Tualatin isn't Portland metro. Your housing costs may double but I'd say go for it. Portland is a great place for people with all interests. I'm 30 miles out and understand both areas plus I've lived in mega cities and burgs and frankly don't know how anyone can live in the isolation which GP offers, especially in your youth.
