Today I decided to go to Hammonasset State Park since my normal spots were pretty slow. I was so lucky as they were having the Friends of Hammonassett Festival. A Place Called Hope was there giving a great educational lecture about Raptors. Light was dismal but luckily I had a monopod with me. On most of them, I positioned myself to use a white tent in the background to give a HKT look. Comments are welcome... Some are a little soft, the speaker kept moving and I couldn't get a high enough shutter speed...

Check out their page, they are an absolutely amazing Non-Profit dedicated to saving raptors. To Todd and Christine it is not a job it is their life!

I absolutely love these little raptors. A pair of them nested near our house for a couple of years. It was extremely entertaining to watch the young learn to fly. I've never seen anything fly so aerobatically.

These are great Kris. I actually just saw one of these little guys for the first time yesterday. He made an attempt on one of the little birds at my feeder but, sadly for him, his food got away. It was close with lots of quick twists and turns but, he was outmaneuvered.
