An Accidental Portrait

I was looking through some images taken earlier this month, and spotted a reject that I thought had an interesting look.

I was struggling to focus in a dimly lit hotel room, and suggested she put on her phone light to help me focus .... and took a test shot before she put her phone out of the shot.

I think the test shot ended up more interesting than the planned ones.

I think this is a good photo, but what I miss most is "atmosphere" in this shot.
To be honest, the photo is much too light, the emphasis should be on the effect of both light sources. There is a beautiful (composition) triangle between fencer lamp, mobile phone and face of the model, but it's not further developed and therefore the right accent and mood is missing.
I know that you like to photograph the model full-on, but unfortunately it doesn't add anything to the composition here and even is a dissonance in my opinion, because too much light is lost towards the floor and also the posture of the feet isn't really optimal. These are permanent points of attention during a shoot. My edit is only to give an idea and of course no more than my personal opinion!

Yes, I see what you mean - the original photo does meeds a better focal point, and I like your tighter crop.
