This was a mistake turned good - Is a film shot and had a huge fingerprint all down the left third of the image which I only noticed when in LR. I wiped the negative to rescan but the cloth was not clean and presumably had some cleaning agent or other on it as it totally destroyed the negative with white scratches/streaks..
So whilst feeling down I looked again at the original image in LR and after going nuts with the luminosity slider and a few other adjustments turned it into a kind of cool image - lesson learned on two counts,
1. wear medical gloves when handling negatives and
2. you still might be able to do something with that picture...
