What's new

Another Newborn.. I am in love with shooting them! :) CC appreciated.

Nothing was done to her eye creases, baby is half Asian, so her eye creases are very slim, in even there, I'm not sure what you are seeing different in the one pic, I went to look and they all look the same to me lol

I am self taught, I love newborns! I am very conservative with my posing. Probably more then most. I don't like babies feet shoved under their armpits, I don't like the pose where their head is resting on their hands, I like curled squished up babies, but not poses that are odd...

I am in a group of a few girls, 20 or so, and they really help me out.

My next investment will be a damn newborn nest, my bean bag, even with extra filling, just is not as firm and flat and I want it... I think that would help a ton with posing.

A friend of mine and an awesome photographer she is. Bought a couple of wreaths from michaels for $20 and has a super cute nest. I did it too, no pics to show except stuffed animals in them but it does work very nicely :)

No lol not a nest like a prop, but a newborn nest for posing...

and yes, I have a bean bag, and yes, it works ok, but I think this would be better because it is flat on the top....

i have the same bamboo rug at home :P

I'm sorry. I guess for some reason the close up drew me to the eyes and they were so smooth it puzzled me. Her ethnicity may play a role in it as well. I'm pretty darn embarrassed... Off to remove egg from face :)

I definitely like a studio for newborns. It is just easier. Now when they get a bit older and more aware of their surroundings, that's when home can be a big advantage. But as they get older you are also using less and less props too.

Ooooh see I thought u wanted to use a nest as a prop. Like a birdie in a nest. Ive seen a lot of those kinda shots. Sorry for the oops lol!
