Pentax does not make any Pro level DSLR bodies.

Actually they do. There is a member in this forum who is a fashion photographer that used them.

Ah, actually I was referring to the manufacturer's labeling of the camera ... though that does not mean much either.

The last Pentax SLR that was labeled Pro was the LX.
They currently do not label any DSLR's as Pro.

Note: A Professional Photographer will use any camera that does the job.

as a proud owner of a sony A350, with 3 sony lens in my bag, 18-70 kit lens, 75-300, and a 50mm 1.4. I must say i am not regretting my purchase AT ALL!

My sister bought a 450D about a month before i bought my camera, and i have had time to play around with both (in fact i carry both around with me in my bag) and i always find myself going for my sony instead of the Canon.

Dont regret what you buy, use it to its fullest potential, and if you outgrow it, then consider purchasing something new (brand or model) and keep your a300 as a backup body!
