spamming your way to 1000, drew. nice.

cristine. welcome to TPF!

i like the angle of the picture, but id like to see your niece's face and id prefer it to be more in focus. i also like that she appears to be the only one in the studio.

welcome to this forum, although i am also newer

Heya Cristine and welcome to ThePhotoForum.

Cute little niece you have here.
Pity that the focus is all wrong in this photo. The room in the background is clear, but the main subject of your photo, you niece, is blurred. I don't know what camera you work with, but it seems to have been on Autofocus with your niece being too close to the lens for the camera to focus on her.

The angle gives me the feeling that she is soon going to fall out of your frame here ... but then I am not one for the crooked angles, at all.

Watch for the little focus point or square or whatever it is your camera shows you when it focusses automatically to be RIGHT on the subject you want to be your subject in your photo. Then you'll be right on your way :D!

Welcome to the forum

As has been mentioned, the focus. With most AF and moving subjects ones best bet is to move with the subject, and even then it's not a hundred percent with this type of movement. Judging by the DOF I have to assume you are using a point and shoot. If this is the case as LaFoto mentioned, when the subject is too close it won't focus. Many newer cameras have a close up setting (generally depicted as a flower) I would advise using this setting for shots like this one along with following her movement holding the shutter release button for a second or two until it locks on to her.

For resizing assistance we would need to know what photoediters you have at your disposal because they very greatly.

I agree with everyone elses comments and also welcome you.
