attaching camera directly to Telescope mount ??

Couple shots here i took using my 350D and a 75-300mm lens piggybacked on my scope. The telescope/mount was used to counteract earth's rotation. These are several shots of 3 mins or so then stacked using deepskystacker...

I used a Meade LX 200 Classic which has it's own mount built in. I set it up on a permanent pier rather than it's tripod so that it's not in alt/az mode...
