Attack of the hummingbirds

Crazy to see so many hummingbirds in one place. I don't love the shot very much, but kinda cool to see.

Holy cow. We usually have them 1-2 at a time over the summer, but that many is CRAZY.

Esp when you consider how competitive the little bastards are. They normally chase away any newcomers.

I just setup my tripod near the feeder with my 300mm lense and wait patiently. The key is not to make any sudden movements, they scare easily.

We put a little cocaine in with the nectar. Actually I've never seen anything like that before. These were taken up in the mountains of Colorado.
