Definitely B&W, but in either case I'd get rid of that post in the foreground, either by cloning or cropping.

The color would work better if you darkened the mid-tones a bit, maybe around 100 or so (out of 255), which would give you more contrast and more saturation.

I looked at them both and the comments made. I agree with Ken and fixed them.

Here are the updates.

I like both. I'd agree about the contrast, I'd probably make copies and play around with some slight adjustment and see. The whole thing is a lot of gray and off white and blue, but there is some nice shadow/dark and light.

I might crop to eliminate that scraggly tree off to the right and just keep the evergreen tree in the frame. I like the branches framing the barn at the top and left side. Great framing the clouds in the photo too.

Now that I know where it was, I can see where the post used to be... otherwise I probably wouldn't notice, but in the horizontal lines of dark going across the bottom of the photo I can see a break/repeat of dark lines. Nitpicky. Probably just me, if it's my picture it would bug the crap out of me til I cropped it a little or something. lol And I guess years of looking around the entire frame I notice corners and edges of things and try to frame accordingly or crop if need be.

I am generally not a fan of B&W, but this is one of the few instances where I think it provides a better image than the color.

Originals or edits, I like the b&w better. The writing on the wall stands out better. I also think the shadowed wall in the color version is a little too blue for me. The halo over the roof does bother me a little in all of them.
