Nice shots! I like the tones in the faces. Very soft... did you use a filter of some kind? Or rather, can you tell us the details of the shot (equipment, settings)?

In terms of equipment I have an Olympus c4000 faux dslr (that is to say can mimic slr by adjusting settings) ...

I adjusted the white balance on camera and used window lighting ...

in PS I converted to b&w using the channel mixer, adjusted the contrast & levels, added some gausian blur and a slight difuse glow
