This was the 2nd baby that I had the privilege to photograph. Although it was "non paid" ( im still very new and need the practice ) , I added a watermark due to the mom wanting to have a few on facebook.

#1- Looking now, i think i would have used a different color background.

#2- I'm not a big fan of seeing or using large props that "consume" the baby but mom requested a pumpkin.

The pumpkin shot works, but the first shot is just beautiful. I do think the background works. For me it adds to the ephemeral nature of the newborn beauty - not spiritual, but somehow more than physical.

Another shot of this sweet baby. Thank y'all so much for taking the time to give your feedback!
You guys have helped me more than you know!

those are SWEET! I LOVE that last one you posted!

These are great Rachel. #1 is fantastic. I wouldn't have changed the backround at all. I love newborns on white. It adds an element of serenity. I think your skin tones look fine. I don't think they are hot on my monitor. #2 is adorable as well even though I am not much of a prop person either but hey we gotta give mom what they want. I would have just brought the arms out on this one and rested the hands under the chin or something like that. Just so it doesn't look so head-coming-out-of-a-pumpkin-ish :) Good job.

#1 and #3 are gorgeous! I know this was a practice gig, but your work on this shoot was worth money. Well done!

Thank you! That means a lot coming from someone as talented as yourself! This sweet baby only weighed 4lb 8oz when I photographed her and I was a nervous wreck!

Thanks so much! You've made my day :)

Very nice work especially the last one....sweet!

I don't at all agree with this trend of Anne Geddes sacharine-sweet baby photography, and I have particular issues with things like shoving babies in pumpkins and sticking giant roses on the kids head and such.

This is just my opinion, and obviously not one that goes with the current trends since everyone else is gaga for these, but it's my opinion nonetheless.
