It's been almost a year since I really tried photography again besides shooting some film randomly. It's been interesting getting back out there again and I feel the creative juices flowing again, slowly but its flowing. Just taking my time at it and not trying to overwhelm myself, I think I made the right decision getting a nearly brand new D750 + 50 1.8G for under $700. It doesn't hurt as bad as dropping a near 3K on a mirrorless body that I felt bad leaving on my desk for weeks at a time and when I'm not in the mood for photography, I wont feel bad letting the D750 sit for a short while but its there and ready to go when I wanna take some photos! I'm also excited to pick up some of my favorite lenses I use to have when I had a DSLR years ago, I'm eying the 28 1.8G or maybe the 24 1.8G, I can't wait to get back into some astrophotography again, it was very calming for me to be outside at night with the camera taking pictures of the stars.

Anyways here are some wildflower shots I took recently! For a couple of them I did use a vintage Tiffin close up filter which I am surprised how sharp it is!

Man it feels weird taking photos again but it also feel like I have my hobby back and I care less about the gear and the social media BS. Just been fun going out taking photos again just to free my mind.

Very nice shots!

I too recently decided to get back in to photography after many years.

I am having fun figuring out the settings and how to get the most out of my "kit" lenses.

I intend to learn how to use them before buying better.

IMHO the D750 and Z5 (same sensor) have a distinctive artsy color rendition that shows up in your shots. I personally miss my D750 at times but the Z5 does that job for me now. Very nice shots

Nice set! For some it's about the equipment, they crave the feeling that comes from the release of endorphins that a new purchase can bring. For others it's about the creative process. In photography as in other media there are many ways to create, the path you choose is not important.
