More Structural Realism than Abstract...

Interesting use of ther entire compositional space. I wonder about clipping off the top-most, arched grass piece, if thathelps or hurts the shot. This has lots to look at, and is based mostly on strong diagonal lines, and a simple gradient from dark to bright in the center. The balance of the two curved lines against all of the straight, sharp, diagonals is interesting! Pretty good for just some grass and sky, right?

Thanks, Derrel. The problem with total symmetry is that is takes on a rather contrived look pretty quickly. I wanted to create a bit of mystery within the lines instead of banging the obvious over the viewer's head.

Yes, I agree with you on that banging over the head idea.

Wonderful shot -- very Zen. I just wish the highlights weren't so blown out.

According to my monitor, the highlights are exactly where they should be. Mine shows them at 250, 251, 250..light but not blown.

Looking at the image on the screen, there's just a white spot in the middle. Did it print well?

Structural Realism, Abstract, regardless, this is a very nice image. Have you tried it in black and white?

Ummm - you do know that Structural Realism is a theory of international relations that says power is the most important factor in international relations, so I am not sure what you were going for here - neorealism?
