Back to the rink

I picked up a D7100 this week so I wanted to test it out. These small rinks can be hard to shoot in but I think the D7100 was up to the task.

My shoulder likes the D7100 w/ 70-200 f/2.8 combo better than the D800 w/ 300 MM f/2.8 I was shooting handheld last week lol

I bet it did!

What settings do you usually start with for the rink shots? Very nice whites! I started shooting at a curling rink and getting the right mix of A and S was a bit of a go the first time round. Finally just got the shots I wanted in RAW and did the adjustments at home... Was better than missing the shots while trying to experiment with settings at the rink. Mostly my probs were fixed with changing the K settings during edit, then white balance.
