Background drop supports.

I am not so sure if this is in the right board, I had hard time deciding if whether post this in photography equipment & products or in lighting & hardware but nothing mentions about this and since this is a photography equipment so I went ahead and hoped that this is the right board to post this thread in.

I am looking for a background drop support, which I have no clue of for which one that's strong, rugged and not easy to break. There's few of brands that sounded so promising because one of them also made a tripod that I have in my gear which is extremely hard to break. But again this is background drop support so it's different. Do you have a favorite background drop support? Any recommendation? I am looking for one that I can carry, since that I take photographs at many different locations so I will definitely need one that I can folds and put in my bag and go.

As goes for the background drop material I got that covered, but only issue I have is which background drop supports? I am looking at this Manfrotto background support system or such like this Photoflex Pro-Duty Backdrop Support. But again I am only browsing around and these aren't only options as I am only browsing around and looking for others but this is where I need your recommendation on which background drop supports I should get. And to make it easier for you to recommend me one with a price I'd pay, which at least top to $300.

I always tended to go back and forth between using 2 nails and a rope or duct tape while in the studio. Outside use would be a bit more problematic.

Do you need/want something portable, or is this something you will 'install' into your home/studio space?

It's hard to go wrong with Manfrotto, but you could get something similar for around $100. But since you mentioned durability, you might want to avoid the cheaper ones.
That particular kit only has three cross sections, up to 9' wide. The one I have, has 4 sections so that it can go up to 12' wide. I'd suggest finding one that has the option to go to at least 10' wide.

I own the photoflex model in your post. It's rather sturdy and does a good job. I haven't had any complaints with it.

Whatever you get, you'll also need weights (bags of shot) to keep it steady.

Most of these background support kits are Chinese-made and are almost indistinguishable from one another. As KmH mentioned, shot bags are a nice accessory.

Thanks, and yes. You are correct, I do want durability. And I am going to need portable/easy to move places to places, such as different houses and or different places with no hassle. So portable is one I need, so pretty much what I need is all in one but one I can fold and pack it up and go to other places.

Thanks for the help! Everyone seems to favor in manfrotto. But what I worry is, would it be a hassle to fold it down and slide it back in the bag and then put it in my car to go to other place? I go to place to place for sessions since I don't own a studio where people comes to, I go to them instead of they comes to me.
