Battery Performance

On a slight side note, my other half has a D40x which is less than a year old and the battery doesn't seem to be holding the charge the way it should, would a full discharge and extra long recharge possibly help this?

I thought it was bad to continue charging your battery once the fully charged light came on. I heard it fries the battery.. ???

I believe it depends on the charger. Some good chargers that will stop charging the battery once it reach the optimal voltage.
